We have been raising Maremmas Sheepdogs since 2008. Our pups have gone on to guard goats, sheep, chickens, peacocks, even emus! These dogs are indespensible on the farm that has predator issues from coyotes, stray dogs, Lions, Bears or people. Maremmas are great for these jobs as they are effective and efficient when dispatching trouble. They can read the situation and will use only as much force as needed. Mostly they pressure the threat away from their charges with no bloodshed. If more force is needed they can provide that too. Maremmas are strong, brave and intelligent, also loving, kind and sweet. Our pups are raised in the goat pens along with chickens and horses and are handled by small children so they are instilled with a love of children.
